What Does a Recreational Ice Rink Include?

Every GAMAK mobile ice rink consists of five components. This setup allows the rink to be operational within days and dismantled after the season without permanent alteration to the surface.

Modular Refrigeration System

Cooling pipes in various technologies, connected in sections adapted to the shape and size of the ice surface.

Protective Dasher Boards (Recreational)

Lightweight aluminum profile structure with HDPE panels, protecting skaters and separating the ice surface from the surroundings.

Chiller Unit

Compact unit producing coolant with parameters from -8C/-11C to -9C/-12C, depending on the rink size.

Glycol Installation

Tanks, circulation pump, and glycol as the coolant carrier in a closed loop system.

Subgrade Thermal Insulation

A layer protecting the ground from freezing and ensuring ice surface stability.

Recreational Dasher Boards — Construction and Dimensions

GAMAK recreational dasher boards are a lightweight alternative to heavy steel fencing. The structure is based on aluminum profiles filled with white HDPE (high-density polyethylene) panels.

The aluminum construction is lighter than steel, corrosion-resistant, and suitable for both mobile (seasonal) and permanent (year-round) installations.

Top edge in blue or red, serving as a grip for skaters.

Kickplate

Lower strip 20 cm high in yellow, protecting the bottom edge from mechanical damage.
